Background
Singer songwriter Druv Kent is one of Asia’s leading creative artists and performers of contemporary music. Druv is a composer, singer-songwriter and live performer with a catalog comprising 4 EPs and 18 hit singles in both English and Hindi. With reflective lyrics inspired from the land of his birth, India, often combining English and Hindi, he creates a ‘world music’ fusion of modern pop, western folk, and Indian elements.

A lifelong obsessed musician – and a former finance executive who “Dared To Dream”. He says, “As a kid, making world-class original music was literally beyond my wildest dreams.”
He burst on the music scene in 2015, becoming the 1st Asia-based artist supported in 20 years by BBC Radio 2. He’s now released four successful albums, scored four #1 chart-topping singles on the World Indie Music Charts and the Euro Indie Music Charts, had songs feature in the US Top 20, been championed by the likes of Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan, the Hollywood Enquirer, a range of credible and influential music voices internationally, and won a number of prestigious music accolades and awards for his compositions and live performances.
The Music
Druv’s voice is earthy, soulful and organic, with lyrics seeking meaning in a fragile and shifting world. Druv’s songwriting caught the attention of highly regarded UK record producers Greg Haver (The Manic Street Preachers), Calum MacColl (Ronan Keating) and Simon Edwards (John Mayer). Druv’s latest EP ‘Love in F#’ is a collaboration with Sweden’s top record producers, Doug Carr (The Corrs, Ace of Base, Dr Alban) and Tony Malm (Eric Saade, Emma Andersson, Lambretta). Three singles from the EP have attained #1 status on the World Indie charts and featured on BBC UK.
Druv’s Hindi releases include what is regarded as a Top 10 Hindi patriotic song in India and also composed India’s World Cup cricket music anthem. He has composed and sung for Bollywood, is working on a number of new Hindi songs and is working various collab projects with top artists in Sweden, India, the UK, Singapore and the US.
LIVE!
Druv plays live in the UK, Europe, Dubai, HK, India, Southeast Asia and has headlined some of Singapore’s biggest stages with his 6-piece Druv Kent Band, including sold-out shows at Esplanade, Gardens By The Bay, Suntec, Victoria Theatre, Drama Centre, and a number of private events across the region. He’s performed with the Shillong Chamber Choir, been featured at the Asia Television Awards, won the IIMA Best Live Performance – Male award, and headlined a number of international festivals including the Kasauli Lit Fest.
Young Adults
Druv organized the ‘Battle of the Bands’ in Singapore for young creators of original music. He’s been a judge on various award, entertainment and music shows, and a public speaker and mentor for young people at primary schools, high-schools, business-schools and young musicians, artists and creative writers at various forums. He’s also a music producer and mentor to young, aspiring artists.
